You may recall a very wet afternoon at the end of June. Would we be indoors or outdoors on the field? The weather front arrived earlier than expected but by then we had optimistically set up outside.
Despite the weather, stalwarts in considerable numbers appeared in the village hall to enjoy a wonderful spread of tea, scones, cakes and strawberries with cream. What more could you ask for such an afternoon!
Thank you to the helpers and to all who came and made the event a success. A total of £341.00 was raised for Ashford Carbonel Church.
