The Knit & Stitch craft group will soon be starting back after its little summer break.
I’m looking forward to seeing what everyone’s been up to. I’ve been clicking away with my knitting. My arthritic thumb has liked the new bamboo needles.
The garden has been a bit neglected this summer as I kept waiting for a nice settled warm spell before venturing forth. However I did manage to harvest my lavender and that of others who kindly offered to add their lavender to my harvest. This means that I will be able to bring a nice amount of freshly dried lavender to our September meeting. Lavender is a natural moth repellent and it’s excellent for hanging in wardrobes or keeping in drawers or boxes with your jumpers.
Everyone is most welcome to join us. It’s a relaxed informal gathering where anything goes. Bring anything you are currently working on but don’t worry if you’ve got nothing on the go. There’s always an optional little workshop going on that you can get involved with.
September Workshop: Lavender birds and sachets. Take the opportunity to refresh your lavender bags and make one for a friend. They make lovely gifts.
