What a wonderful day we all had playing Inter Village Cricket at Downton on the May Bank holiday. Ashford had such a good turn out that we were able to offer Umpires, Scorers and Players to the other teams! The downside of this was that we lost, but despite this the last over was gripping when Middleton needed a six to win but were thwarted by a magnificent catch on the boundary by Bitterley, the eventual winners. Thanks to everyone who participated, everyone who came, and to Mark and Philippa Wiggin for hosting the event.
