Carol Singing

Despite inclement weather conditions a large number of people (more than ever before) gathered at the car park just before Christmas and embarked on the annual tour of the village carol singing, despite increasing rain we soldiered on until we reached no 8 where Christine and a large number of guests gave us a warm welcome and all were treated to Christine’s very generous hospitality, which was much appreciated by everyone. The tour ended at the traditional venue of Ashford Court where again we were treated to royal hospitality. With such a large group of more than proficient singers descants and solo’s were introduced which greatly enhanced their performance.
Thanks to all who made it such a successful evening. Our thanks go to both hostesses and to the listeners who donated £230 which was shared between Hope Hose Hospice and Starlight.

I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone for making the evening so lovely at the carols singing fund-raiser for Hope House Children’s Hospice and Starlight Express. Hope you all enjoyed it. Lots of kind people made some lovely nibbles and brought them along to my house. A huge thank you.
I still have a torch which was left in my sitting room and a tray with cats on it – this was covered in silver foil and delicious cakes. Do you know possibly who they belong to if so please do let me know as I would really like to return them.
