We were treated to an insight into how historians work in a fascinating talk given by Elizabeth Round in the village hall on 17th October. She revealed that a mixture of dogged determination, an ability to see beyond the written word, and to read very bad handwriting seem to be required skills - one attendee compared her to a terrier with a rat!
The talk addressed the 1554 ‘Battle of Cursneh Hill’, a myth from a part of Leominster’s history, and not wanting to spoil the story for any future attendees, it really was a thoroughly interesting talk!
