The Annual Meeting of Parishioners and the Annual Parochial Church Meeting will be held in St. Andrew’s Church on Monday, 16th April, starting at 7.30pm. The first meeting is open to all residents of Ashford Bowdler, while the second is only for those on the church electoral roll. This is your chance to hear what the church and the Parochial Church Council (PCC) have been doing over the past year and to make any comments and suggestions for what we may do in future. The meetings will be followed by a first meeting of the new PCC.
Formal notice of the meetings will be sent in advance to all those on the electoral roll, together with the agenda and the financial statements for 2017 and other reports. If you are not yet on the church electoral roll and would like to be added, please contact Ann Lansdell (831268) for the necessary form as soon as possible. The qualification for entry on the roll is that you should be baptized in the Church of England (or a church in communion with the Church of England) and either be resident within the parish of Ashford Bowdler or have worshipped at St. Andrew’s church within the past six months.
As mentioned elsewhere in this magazine, the first of the combined ‘fifth’ Sunday services for the whole benefice will be on Sunday, 29 April, at All Saints, Richard’s Castle at 10.30am. It will take the form of Songs of Praise and everyone is invited to suggest a hymn, a reading or a poem, from which a final selection will be made. If anyone in Ashford Bowdler would like to give their suggestions to Ann Lansdell (831268), she will forward them to Richard’s Castle.
