Once again, we are extremely grateful to Susannah Hall for riding for us in the annual ‘Ride and Stride’ event in aid of the Shropshire Historic Churches Trust on Saturday, 12th September. She visited 22 churches this year and her sponsorship raised £293.30 which, as usual, will be divided equally between the Trust and our fabric fund. Well done, Susannah!
Our Harvest Festival evensong on Sunday 18th October was well attended, and most people stayed on for refreshments afterwards. The collection of £151.75 was as usual donated to the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution.
Our Patronal Festival evensong this year will be on Sunday, 29th November (the day before St. An-drew’s Day) at 6.30pm. After the service, there will be refreshments and a ‘bring-and-buy’ at Church House and the collection and ‘bring-and-buy’ proceeds will as usual go to the Church Missions Society. Do come if you can.
Please note that our service on Remembrance Sunday (8th November) will start at 10.50am and will in-clude the customary two minute silence at 11.00am. It will be a special Armistice Service instead of the normal service of Holy Communion.
