The Draft Minutes of a Parish Council Meeting held at Ashford Carbonel Village Hall on Tuesday 18th March 2014

1. Present: Councillors: Mrs E Marrs (Chairman), Mr N Tilt, Mr M Bowden, and Mr G Jones

2. Apologies: Mr D Brundrett and Mr M Bowden

3. Items from Members of the Public/Shropshire Council: No Items

4. Declarations of Interest: Nil

5. To approve the Minutes of the Previous Meeting: The minutes of the meetings dated the 18th March 2014 were approved by the council and signed as a correct record by the Chairman.

6. Matters Arising from the Minutes: No matters arising from the minutes on items not included in the agenda.

7. Chairman’s Communications The chairman reported on the recent meeting of the Ludlow and Clee Local Joint Committee Meeting which received a report from the Local Police Inspector and although crime remains low in the area there is an increase in theft of outbuildings.

The Committee no longer receives funding for grants to local organisations and was considering its future purpose.

The next meeting of the Committee is to be held at Clee Hill Village Hall on the 17th June 2014 commencing 7.00pm.

8. Planning Items: a) Planning application 14/00785/TCA - works to trim Holly Tree, remove Acre Tree and trim other shrubs – Normhurst Ashford Carbonell – No Objection.

b) Planning Application 14/00826/TCA – fell one Silver Birch Tree 1 Ashford Carbonell – No Objection

c) Planning Application 14/00646/Ful – erection of single storey side extension and minor alterations following demolition of existing garage – 2 Huntington Green Ashford Carbonell – No Objection

d) Planning Application Erection of two storey side extension – Fisherman’s Cottage Ashford Carbonell – No Objection

e) Planning application 14/000826/TCA – to cut Conifer hedge to manageable height – Oak Villa Huntington Lane Ashford Carbonell

f) Planning application 14/01034/TCA – To cut back growth of number 1 Holly Tree to hedge height – West fortune Ashford Carbonell – No Objection

g) The Clerk reported that Shropshire Council had published the Final Plan of SAMDev – Sites allocation Management and Development Housing and Employment Land – any further representations need to be submitted by the 28th April 2014 – Ashford Carbonell is classed as Countryside with there being no land earmarked within the Plan for development.

9. Highway/Amenity Items: Severn Trent will be holding an open meeting at Caynham Village Hall to explain the planned road closures through Caynham to carry out the relaying of water pipes.

10. Financial Items: b) The following accounts were approved for payment

c) The parish council consider the budget for the financial year 2014/15 and agreed that the precept amount should be £4,221 which should result in 0% increase in the Parish Rate.
