This year three people set off from the village to support this valuable charity, raising money to help to keep our beautiful churches in the county in good repair. Janie and Jackie were the two “new “ cy-clists – a special WELL DONE . JUST as important was the fact that our church was manned ALL day by Christine and Maureen to welcome visiting cyclists providing re-freshments and a welcome – HUGE thanks for that. We did find that few other churches were so welcoming, and although drinks and biscuits were there in some churches in-cluding Bitterley, others, though open, had nothing to welcome the visitors. St. Peters in Ludlow was one of the few that was manned.
We all returned tired but in one piece. My bike gears failed which meant a VERY tiring day.
I shall give the final report next month when all the money is gathered in …well done to the two “J”`s who have done their collection, and we hope it will be in the region of £350. So another BIG thank you to all who sponsored us so generously . Susannah
