You are cordially invited to join us for a presentation of the classic love film ‘Casablanca’on Sunday 29th November at 3pm in the Village Hall. How could you forget the story….
During World War II former lovers Rick (Humphrey Bogart) and Ilse (Ingrid Bergman) are reunited by chance in Casablanca, where he runs a nightclub and she, with her husband (Paul Henreid), is working for the French Resistance. Recriminations, rekindled desires and patriotic duty battle for primacy as Ilse’s husband tries to outwit the local Nazis and escape from Morocco, whilst Rick and Ilse re-kindle their love.
Our Village Hall will be decorated to reflect the Love theme and seating will be cabaret style. After the film, enjoy a classic afternoon tea experience accompanied by music of the era. The Bar will be open -perhaps you’d enjoy a glass of bubbly as a teatime treat?
