Autumn Coffee Morning

The Festive season got off to a lovely gentle start on Saturday November 10th with the Autumn Coffee Morning, in aid of St Mary Magdalene church.
A cup of coffee plus a selection of delicious cakes were available to be ooh’d and ahh’d over whilst sitting chatting with friends.
There was a chance to win prizes on the tombola and raffle stalls, and shopping for presents before purchasing more home-made cakes to take home. As well as a wide range of Traidcraft goods to choose from, we also discovered how talented the Hughes family is when it comes to crafts! Items made by three members of the family were on sale: coloured glass ornaments made by Ann, insect houses and pyrography amongst other lovely gifts made by Jane, and exquisite jewellery made by Sarah.
Thanks go to all those who made cakes to sell, manned the stalls, and of course came to spend their money! Almost £400 was raised for church funds.
