Pom-poms were much in evidence at the February meeting with members having fun trying out new, quick ways of making them. There was much to see and talk about with completed projects and ideas being shared including knitted fairies, bobble hat, cross-stitched birthday card and a wonderful Valentine heart quilt hanging. Barbara’s embroidered scissor and pin cushion neck tape and Ann’s bargain embellished ribbons from Lidl’s provided inspiration for possible future projects.
The next meeting is on Monday 17 March when there will be the opportunity to have a go at knitting an Easter themed cover for a chocolate cream egg. These turn an inexpensive chocolate treat into a lovely Easter gift. Bring along some size 10 or 11 (3mm or 3.25) knitting needles together with any small amounts of double knitting yarn you would specifically like to use. My yarn stash box and spare knitting needles will be available at the meeting!
If you can’t knit, now’s the time to have a go! There will be plenty of enthusiastic help at hand.
