Update 20/10/14 - A carboot was held last week with the leftovers from the Ashford Carboot Sale in September. We made an additional £129.20, which now means the total amount raised this year is £1589.28
Ashford Carbonell’s Car Boot Sale took place on 7th September 2014
A brilliant day was had by all! The sun shone, people came to buy and sell from miles around and there was a great atmosphere – what’s more we made £1460.08, another successful year!!
The funds raised will go towards renovating the Village Hall. All the money raised from the Car boot Sale came from selling the villagers’ bric-a-brac, books, local produce, scrummy hot dogs and bacon baps and car booting. Bits of money are still trickling in from the goods that were left over, so the final figure will be published in next month’s magazine.
Many, many thanks to all who contributed in some way …whether it was donating produce or bric-a-brac, helping sell the goods, directing traffic, providing food and drink, publicity, collecting and sorting all the donations, car booting or supporting by coming along on the day.
