Fund-raising
A very successful Coffee Morning and Bring-and-Buy was held at Crossing Cottage on Saturday, 15th November, at the kind invitation of Carol and Roger Brooking. Most households in the village were represented and the grand total of £186.95 was raised for church funds. We are grateful for everyone’s support and a huge thank you to Carol and Roger for their generous hospitality and hard work.
On the previous Saturday Ann Lansdell ran a Tombola stall at the Ashford Carbonell ‘Not Even Nearly Christmas’ Coffee Morning in the village hall, at which she raised £75 to be shared equally between the two churches.
Christmas at St. Andrew’s
Christmas services at St. Andrew’s will be as follows:
Holy Communion on Christmas Day will be at the usual time of 11.15 and then, also as usual, our Carol Service will be on the following Sunday (28th December) at 3pm (replacing Evensong on that day). We hope that many of you will be able to join us for this last carol-singing opportunity of 2014.
The Churchwardens and other members of the PCC wish everyone a happy and peaceful Christmas and New Year.
