A lovely needle felted baby seal was presented to the group through the show and tell session. Made on a local day course, s/he won lots of hearts. Most people had another attempt at making a little macramé owl keyring. Having to be ambidextrous and working with both hands equally was a bit of a challenge but perseverance paid off. The main knots were mastered and most of the project was completed, leaving just a bit of tweaking for next time.
At our next session, there will be a simple introduction to the technique of needle felting with an opportunity for everyone to have a go at it. Of course as usual, people will bring along their own project to work on. It’s always nice to see ‘what’s on the go’.
Next meeting: Monday 19 June (3rd Mon) 2 – 4pm at Ashford Carbonel village hall.
