On Wednesday 19th July we shall be visiting Upton Cressett Hall Nr Bridgnorth .
This is an Elizabethan moated timbered manor house built around the 15th century –
with a turreted gate house ! It was restored by William Cash in 1969 after it had fallen
into a “sleeping beauty “decline. The price of the ticket includes a guided tour round
the Hall and Gatehouse and admission to the gardens and the Church. The new formal gardens are
designed by Dr Katherine Swift ( from nearby Morville Hall Dower House ) We will leave the Eco
park at 12.45 p.m by car (10p per mile to the driver ).
